The Department of Justice and Community Safety has reviewed all ACT legislation to identify provisions that discriminate against same sex couples, or against transgender people or intersex people. The Government’s aim in the review is to achieve, so far as is possible, equal legal status for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people by eliminating discriminatory references in ACT legislation.
